How To Be A Christian WIthout Being Religious

Today's message begins a sermon series on the Book of Romans. In today's message, we introduce the book and its author, and we look at the difference between Christianity and Religion.

A Fresh Start

Lamentation 3:23 reminds us that God's mercy and compassion is new everyday, that means that each new day is or can be a fresh start for us. At the beginning of a new year our mind often thinks about what we might like to do different in the coming year. God is ready to do a new work in us anytime we will yield ourselves to His will. In our message today we look at how we can have that fresh start in Christ Jesus.

The Gift of Jesus

This Sunday, we complete our Advent series on The Gifts of Christmas with this last sermon, The Gift of Jesus. Christmas is all about gift-giving and demonstrating love to those closest to us. That's what God did for us so many years ago. He gave the gift the world needs: He gave His Son, Jesus Christ. But a gift is not a gift if it isn't opened and used in our lives. Watch and listen as we put The Gift of Jesus under the microscope.

The Gift of Peace

Our fourth Advent message is on The Gift of Peace. Jesus did provide peace with God by His death on the cross on our behalf. Unfortunately, the Israelites were looking for a different kind of peace from God. Because of this, they rejected the peace Jesus provided. Sadly, too many today don't understand what Jesus came to do and did. The result is they miss the peace God affords. Watch and listen to see if you are missing the peace Jesus brought to all mankind.

The Gift of Joy

This is the third message in our Advent sermon series. It's titled "The Gift of Joy." In the message, we look at what joy is, the difference between being happy or carefree and joy, and how to appropriate joy in our lives. The scripture passage is Psalms 96:4-13.

The Gift of Love

Thanksgiving

In our service on the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2025, we look at the origins of Thanksgiving, when those first Pilgrims landed in America seeking a place where they were free to worship as their consciences dictated. They faced many challenges, losses, and heartaches, yet they never lost their faith in God. They established Thanksgiving as a special day once a year when they would give thanks to God for all His good works. We would do well to follow their example.

Reasons for Ungratefulness

Often, as Christians, we lack the gratefulness we should have; thus, we are not thankful. Where does this ungratefulness come from? Watch and listen to today's message as we explore reasons for ungratefulness. Are You the One?

Luke 17:11-19 records for us the occasion when Jesus encountered ten men afflicted with leprosy. These men were outcasts from society, unable to come near anyone because of their disease. They cried out to Jesus for healing, and Jesus did indeed heal all ten. But only one, a Samaritan, took the time to go to Jesus and thank Him for being healed. We look at having a heart of thanksgiving as we begin this Thanksgiving month. As part of the sermon I sing two songs written by Andre' Crouch, "Take a Little Time" and "Through It All" hopefully the songs don't get censored from the sermon.
