The Glad Passages

There are over 800 passages in the Bible telling us to have joy, be glad, and give praise. The sermon today from Philippians in a reminder of what joy is especially versus happiness. The Tin Man’s Heart

The old song "Love is a Many Splendored Thing" is a film from 1955 and the theme song for that film. It describes the glorious moments of love. We all love to be loved. It is an innate desire. At this time of year we celebrate God's love for us in the form of a baby, the baby Jesus Christ. Jesus demonstrated His love for us in the most tender and self-sacrificing way. God loves us but how do we show Him love? Watch and listen as Pastor Wes uses 1 Corinthians 13 as a starting point to talk about the complexities of love.

An Unlikely Solace

Jesus Christ came to give us peace in a world filled with trouble but not the peace most seek. He was an unlikely Savior born to an unlikely time, place, and family. Using Isaiah 51:1-5 today, we seek to gain an new and or refreshed appreciation for the Christ Child.

The Smallest Light

This message we begin the Advent season of 2023. Our message comes from Micah 5:1-4 and recalls the prophecy of Jesus' birth in Bethlehem.

A Bold Love

Today we close out our series, "Boldly Proclaiming the Word of Christ" with the sermon, "A Bold Love". in this message we recall God's great love for us in that "while we were yet sinners Christ died for us." The message is a Lesson of Scripture and Songs. We read scriptures about God's love and then a song was sung in thought f that scripture. By all comments it was a very moving and inspiring service. A Bold Vision Continued

This week we continue to look at God's vision and how that vision was related to the Apostle Paul. God led Him to go to Macedonia, modern day Greece, to share the gospel. This is the first known occurrence of the gospel being taken to the land mass of Europe.

A Bold New Vision

In God's continued quest to see the gospel spread throughout the world, He challenged Peter to expand his vision of how that should be done. Peter was happy preaching in Jerusalem to his fellow Jews, a good desire, but God wanted the non-Jewish people to hear the gospel and He wanted Peter to tell the the gospel. If Peter had refused God's call his good intentions would have stood in the way of God's will. Peter had the attributes God needed for this job. Obediently, Peter received God's enlightenment and went to Cornelius, a Roman Centurion, and shared the gospel. The result was that Cornelius and his house received Jesus as the Messiah and, as promised by Jesus, they received the Holy Spirit opening a new audience for God's message. From Acts 10-11:18

A Bold Conversion

The Apostles Paul's conversion was an earth changing conversion but it is based on the same need that is true for each of us. Watch as we learn from Paul's conversion in the book of Acts chapter nine

A Bold Baptism

The early church saw God do amazing things as He worked to have the gospel spread throughout the world. In todays sermon we learn of Pilip and the Ethiopian eunuch. They met on the road from Jerusalem to Gaza. It was a divine appointment set by God with the result being the propagation of the Gospel into Africa. Acts 8:26-41
