He Rose from the Grave

For our Easter Sunday sermon we looked at Jesus' resurrection from the grave.

Like a Lamb to the Slaughter

Continuing our series of "Against All Odds" on aspects of Jesus as He makes His way to the cross. Today's sermon uses the account of Abraham and Isaac as we consider how Jesus was the Lamb sacrificed on our behalf in order that through believing in Him our debt of sin would be repaid putting us in perfect fellowship with God!

He Was Silent

This is the second message in the series, "Against All Odds." It was preached on March 12, 2023. When Jesus was brought before His accusers, He remained silent. Surely if the Son of God had defended Himself He would have gotten the charges dropped but if He had then we would not have had our sins atoned for by His death on the cross. He remained silent for our benefit.

He Was Counted Among the Rebels

This is the third sermon in our series, "Against All Odds." Jesus descended from heaven, took on the form on man, and was charged, convicted, and crucified unjustly for our sins. The he ascended back to heaven to prepare a place for us and to intercede on our behalf to the Father. No one would have expected the Son of God to be considered a rebel or transgressor but that's what happened. Listen as we explore this chain of events.

What Are the Odds?

This Sunday we begin a sermon series titled, "Against All Odds." This is a series looking forward to Easter. Today's message is titled "What Are the Odds?" and it looks at the odds that all the prophecies of Jesus coming and redemptive work all came true, which they did. We also look at how it was "Against All Odds" that God would choose to forgive and redeem my soul.

Jesus Cares When - I Feel Forgotten

All of us want to be remembered. Remembered when we pass from this earth but also remembered now. Remembered that whether we have been successful or not we showed up and we tried to do what we should for our family and for God. In our passage today, Hebrews 6:1-10, we read that God is not unjust, that He remembers our service to Him in trying to show Jesus Christ to others. So keep on toiling, your Savior knows!

A Greater Voice

Jesus freely gives us forgiveness and salvation, but our new found freedom does come with a responsibilty.  Jesus expects us to share the good news that we've experienced with others. Join with us today as we explore how to have A Greater Voice when it comes to sharing about Jesus Christ.

Does Jesus Care When Parenting is Hard

Parenting a child can have moments of great joy, but anyone who has been or is a parent knows how tough it is too. There are many books available on parenting and advice is not hard to come by but it usually doesn't exactly relate to my situation. Humans are basic creatures on one hand. They need food and shelter but they are also very complex and each one has unique traits. This makes it hard to know exactly what to do in each and every situation. Jesus understands this and God's word has several examples we can read. Today we begin with Deuteronomy 6:1-10 and discuss the 'Shema' and then we look at some examples of parents in the Bible who found parenting anything but easy.
