Letting Go

In these passages from Matthew 6:19-34, Jesus tells us to "store up treasures in heaven" versus treasures on earth. We want the things of heaven, we want to believe but we just...can't...let...go of the things of this earth. Join us as we learn how Jesus urges us to let go of the things of earth, and to grasp the things of heaven, and all the while not succumb to worry.

Secret Service

Continuing in the series, "Beautiful Attitudes: The Teachings of Jesus Christ" we, in this message, look at Matthew 6:1-18. Jesus teaches that When we give, when we pray, and when we fast that we not do it as a show to impress other people. It is to be an act of obedience and worship towards our Father in heaven.

Heavenly Hospitality

In Matthew 5:38-40 Jesus teaches what the real meaning and purpose is of the Old Testament law concerning and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.

Pure Talk

Continuing our series, "Beautiful Attitudes: The Teachings of Jesus Christ" we look at Matthew 5:33-37. Jesus teaches us our talk should be pure without superlatives such as oaths that we use to try and emphasize what we are stating. He tells the believer to just say Yes or No. Additionally this sermon looks the Parable of The Two Brothers, Matthew 21, and other verses admonishing us to not use "corrupt" language.

Tough Love

Jesus loves us more deeply then we can know or imagine. He loves us so much that he is willing to tackle the difficult issues because His ultimate desire for us is for us to become like the Father. In this selection of verses we hear how lust in the heart is equal to adultery in God's eyes and we learn God's heart regarding divorce. Matthew 5: 27-32

Murder, Mayhem, and Mercy

We continue our series, "Beautiful Attitudes: The Teachings of Jesus Christ" by looking at Matthew 5:21-26. The people knew the commandment, "Thou Shalt Not Kill(Murder)." Jesus goes on to teach that if we hate someone we have practiced murder in our heart.

Light on the Salt, Please

Next in our messages from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is, "Light on the Salt Please". After Jesus teaches us what being blessed is, He proceeds to tell His followers that because they have believed, it is their role to share what they've believed. Based on Matthew 5:13-16

It Is Finished

After delivering the Beatitudes, Jesus continued by relating that He had come to fulfill the law not abolish it. Listen as our Pastor expounds on what it means that Jesus fulfilled the law and what it doesn't mean.

You Must Be Born Again

Nicodemus came at night to engage Jesus in a conversation but Jesus turned the tables and told Nicodemus that he must be born again. Nicodemus, understandable, was perplexed. How could a man re-enter his mother's womb and experience the birthing process again? Listen as Jesus explains what he meant. Based on John chapter 3.
