A Bold Message

We humans love to share. We regularly share on social media events in our life. We often share not caring whether anyone wants to know about our life or not. How come then, don't we share about Jesus Christ's role and workings in our life. In Acts chapter 2 verses 14-41 we read of Peter's response to the mocking of the Christians as the Holy Spirt empowered them and they told the Gospel. It was a bold message and it pricked the hearts of many.

A Bold Beginning

This Sunday we begin a series titled, "Boldly Proclaiming the Word of Christ" The series looks at the growth of the New Testament church as found in the book of Acts. Today we read of the Holy Spirit's decent on Jesus disciples.

A Divine Rest

Our Labor Day 2023 sermon this Sunday is "A Divine Rest" We work hard, we go hard all the time. We need time for rest. Today we look at scripture encouraging us to take time to rest and to look forward to our ultimate, sabbath, rest. Genesis, 2:2,3 and Hebrews 4 scripture references.

A Sure Foundation

Jesus presents His followers with a choice once again.  This time the choice is to build their life on the truth of God's word or on something else. God's word is a sure foundation built on rock whereas other foundations are unstable and built on sand.

The Road (Increasingly) Less Traveled

Jesus teaches there are two paths to take in life. The wide, appealing, easy path that most take but a path that leads to destruction and a narrow path, overgrown because few take it but a path that leads to life everlasting. Jesus encourages us to take the narrow path.

The Greatest Compliment, Confidence, Confession

Jesus comes full circle to remind us to store up treasures in heaven which is actually a promise that we can store up treasures or rewards in heaven. From Matthew 7:7-12

To Judge or Not to Judge

From August 6, 2023. We often hear people tell us, "Don't judge me!" and it seems right to us but are we to never judge. The Bible teaches in one place, "judge not lest ye be judged" but elsewhere we are told to weigh the actions of others. What's going on? Is this a conflict in the Bible? Not at all! Watch as we discuss the difference in these two passages.

Letting Go

In these passages from Matthew 6:19-34, Jesus tells us to "store up treasures in heaven" versus treasures on earth. We want the things of heaven, we want to believe but we just...can't...let...go of the things of this earth. Join us as we learn how Jesus urges us to let go of the things of earth, and to grasp the things of heaven, and all the while not succumb to worry.

Secret Service

Continuing in the series, "Beautiful Attitudes: The Teachings of Jesus Christ" we, in this message, look at Matthew 6:1-18. Jesus teaches that When we give, when we pray, and when we fast that we not do it as a show to impress other people. It is to be an act of obedience and worship towards our Father in heaven.

Heavenly Hospitality

In Matthew 5:38-40 Jesus teaches what the real meaning and purpose is of the Old Testament law concerning and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.
