Using Proverbs 24:26 today's message is a look at what the Bible teaches about honesty. In this verse honesty is compared to a kiss on the lips. But there are several types of kisses. Using the various styles of kisses the Pastor relates that 1) We must be honest but 2) there are several ways honesty is delivered some preferred some not. Also looked at is Proverbs 27:6 which teaches that an enemy may give us profuse kisses (flattery) the helpful, though sometimes hurtful, kisses (constructive criticism) of a friend is faithful.

The prophecies of Jesus' birth occurred at a very dark time in Israel's history. Suffering under Roman occupation and the silence of God the Israelites had little reason to hope. But God had a plan and in 400 years Jesus Christ would be born bringing light into the darkness of the world. Jesus' birth brought hope to a world lost in darkness. Opening scripture is Isaiah 9:2 with other scriptures from the New Testament.
