What to Give Christ for Christmas: Yourself

For this Christmas season we will look at what we can give Jesus Christ for Christmas. This message is subtitled, "Yourself". It looks at the gift of yielding ourselves to Christ. First in accepting Him as Savior and Lord and then by living our life according to His teachings. The opening scripture is Matthew 1:18-25.

Thanksliving

Using a high school reunion of children of missionaries, their thankfulness in spite of hard times is an example of how we can be thankful in everything. An encouragement to be thankful this Thanksgiving season because God sees and knows of our need. God "remembers" us. 

Christian Architecture

Jesus Christ give us a five-fold plan for building a great church. 

Keeping On

A sermon on why we can keep on going no matter what the disappointments we face or struggles we endure. We can "Keep On" because Jesus kept on and purchased our freedom.

Our Great God

Using II Kings 6:8-23 and other scriptures, this message reminds us that we have a great God who is invisible but ever present, specifically in the person of the Holy Spirit. In addition He has angels that are sent to help us. We need to know that He is an ever present help and have our spiritual eyes opened so that we may be encouraged by his presence. Thus encouraged we are freed to do His will regarding bring others to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ,

Promises

Most people become skeptical and doubting of people's word as they grow older. This message from John 14:1-3, John 15:5, Malachi 3:10-12, Proverbs 3:5,6 and John 15:16 reminds us that God's word is true and can always be trusted. We need to pass the news of God's promises on to others.

Healthy Choices

This sermon from John 5:1-11 looks at Jesus question to the man invalid for 38 years who waited at the Pool of Bethesda hoping to be healed when the waters were stirred. Jesus' question rings out to His churches today if they want to be well or healthy.

Standing in the Gap

Using Ezekiel 22:30 this message describes how God is looking for men to "stand in the gap" to protect His people. This sermon was delivered as the Deacon Ordination sermon on October 3, 2021 at Campbellsburg Baptist Church in Campbellsburg, KY. Other scriptures used were Acts 6 and I Timothy 3.
