A Conversation About Fishing

In Matthew 4:18-20, Jesus bid His disciples to follow Him. In so doing, they would become fishers of men. He was talking to men who were professional fishermen. There are skills from fishing for fish that translate well to becoming fishers of men. Today, a church member who is an avid fisherman and I talk about how to fish and how that relates to sharing the gospel.

Finding Our Way

Life is filled with difficult choices and requirements. How do we find our way through them? Today, we compare the Israelite's actions against our own when difficult decisions must be made.

Believing Brings Blessings - Prayer

God promises His blessings when we believe in Jesus Christ and obey His word. One of those blessings is prayer. As a Christian, we have the Privilege to go to God in prayer, we can tap into the Power of prayer, and we receive the Promises of prayer, but only when we believe and obey.

The Bible is God's Word to all people. It should be studied and applied to one's life. In this message, we are encouraged to read God's word, believe in faith, and apply the teachings to our lives.

The Man of God

God created man male and female with different characteristics that complement each other to produce the best family life and the best upbringing for a child. God gave man specific attributes to equip him to protect and provide for his family. God also has expectations for the man of God in His service to God. We look at these attributes today in our search to define "The Man of God."

Church Essentials-True Worship

One of the most visible and most important aspects of the church is the worship. Worship of God is very important to Him. The first few commandments deal with worshiping God and God alone. Jesus gave worshiping God as the first and greatest commandment. True uplifting worship helps us to cope, and it picks up our spirits. We must understand what worship is and is not. Watch and contemplate on this subject in the sermon today.

The Church's Ministry to the Next Generation

We have a commission to take the gospel to all people. To do that effectively we have to "speak their language" as each culture has their own interests, even those of our same nationality, Our speaker does a great job of explaining how we need to do this.
