Amos was a shepherd/businessman in the area of Tekoa, Israel. God called him to prophesy to the people of Israel. Our focus today is on chapter 7 verses 1-9. In this passage God tells us that He has set a plumbline, a standard that is to be met. If we understand God's standard, or plumb line, we will realize that it sets boundaries for us. Boundaries with the intent to keep us safe and in which we have great liberty. Listen as we look at this great passage from Amos and think about God's plumb line for us.

In our series, Love One Another, we come to the end of chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians where were are reminded "...that the greatest of these is love." We have a quick review of the chapter and see Paul's emphasis that love is the greatest of all attributes. Then we look at Matthew 22:34-40 and see Jesus' comment on what are the greatest laws. Put simply, Jesus says Love, love for the Father and love for our neighbor.
